Education Objectives

We aim to educate high technical talents with essential professional ethics and strong English application ability who are going in for international business, tourism management and elementary application translation, equipped not only with a solid foundation and high proficiency of English but also abundant professional knowledge concerning foreign trade, tourism management, elementary translation theory and relevant techniques, who are also practiced in using modern office equipment to accomplish secretarial work. The major has alternative orientations of foreign trade English and tourism English, in which the students are optional in the second year according to social requirements and individual preference.

Leading Courses

We provide leading courses such as Integrated English, Overview of English Speaking Countries, Etiquette in China and Foreign Countries, Computer Application, Office Automation and other courses related to foreign trade and tourism. Training and on-the-spot practice related to key professional courses are also organized in-between semesters.

Occupation Orientation

Tourism English-oriented graduates are competent and qualified to work as business managers, tour guides, secretaries, translators in tourism agencies, tourism companies and scenic spots, to go in for business operation and management in restaurant and hotels and serve fair exhibitions, etc. Whereas the Foreign Trade-oriented are competent and qualified to go in for foreign trade related work in all kinds of enterprise, foreign trade companies, Sino-foreign joint ventures, foreign-owned enterprises, logistics companies, shipping companies and ports, etc.
